Booklet "Stories Close to Home 1944-1945"

Museumpark Orientalis

The stories that are written down are usually the big stories. Seen through the eyes of those in power, politicians, generals and armies.

What is not written about in most history books is the lives of ordinary people, civilians living in war zones.

The booklet "Stories Close to Home 1944-1945" changes that. It describes a route through Museum Park that highlights the miserable situation of civilians in and around Heilig Landstichting during the final period of the
Second World War.

The booklet "Stories Close to Home 1944-1945" about the situation of civilians in and around Heilig Landstichting is available for visitors to Museum Park. From March 1 to November 2, visitors who visit the exhibition can get this booklet with stories from the war for free if they wish.
