NIJMEGEN REGION COMMEMORATES 80 YEARS OF FREEDOM
The region of Nijmegen saw heavy fighting during World War II. Today you still come across traces of that battle. In museums, but also subtly and subdued outside. This year is the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands. In Nijmegen and the surrounding area this will be extensively commemorated. See on this website what there is to do and see in the area around the war theme. You can also get information from the Visit Nijmegen website: www.visitnijmegen.com.
