Sunsetmarch

There are 48 light poles on De Oversteek, in honor of the 48 soldiers who did not survive the Waalcrossing on Sept. 20, 1944. Every evening at sunset they jump on one by one, at a slow pace. Every day a veteran walks with them: the Sunsetmarch. In remembrance, and as a salute to all veterans. Anyone can walk along.
